Hiring for a Remote SCM Position in Pittsburgh, PA
As part of the Enterprise Solutions business line team for Product Management and Development, you are responsible for the processes, policies, and tools for organizing the companies development process.
The SCM position relies on you to manage the configuration of the drafting, testing, and final production/baseline of deliverable work products. The mission of your department is to support the management of the development state of software, and allow developers to create new products to meet customer and stakeholder needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Facilitate release activities by managing the promotion of files across environments, and coordinate with other business lines and departments
• Conduct periodic library audits of the SharePoint site, ES business line Development & Test environments, and Production/Baseline environments

• Conduct release audits on deliverable products
• Create and revise processes and process artifacts, e.g., checklists, templates, tool, to promote the integrity of work products, and efficiencies of files and work product management
• Development and Quality Assurance (QA) support documentation, e.g., release notes, release checklists, version history documentation, and work aides
• Maintain the Enterprise Solutions Configuration Item/Data Item (CI/DI) Lists, naming conventions, and version control for all ES business line products
• Provide support to Change Control Board, and management and prioritization of Change Requests (CRs)
• Develop CM and Quality Assurance (QA) support documentation, e.g., release notes, release checklists, version history documentation, and work aides
• Ability to demonstrate and train others on the use of tools and environment
• Support improvements to ES Product Management and Development, Customer Success, operations, e.g., identify internal improvements, update processes as needed
• Ability to proofread, revise, rewrite, edit, fact-check, and provide quality assurance support on all documents including publications, technical and website content, Partner resources, marketing copy, training content, etc., as assigned
• Confirm alignment to the other product line Style Guides and any additional defined process guidance or standards
• Ensure content, style, and brand guidelines and specifications are followed
• Review content of the documentation, quality, and consistency across product and business lines
• Mediate content disagreements between different groups and ensure all approve final content
• Support work processes for producing professional documents and information by working with graphic designers, web designers, production designers, editors, and content developers
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Development, IT or Configuration Management, or a related technical field
• Understanding and mastery of primary and intermediate principles and processes
• Proven experience in configuration management.
• Substantial experience in product development
• Must be able to travel at own expense to corporate office in Pittsburgh, PA, when requested.
• Eastern time zone working hours expected
